2nd Grade Teacher Long-term Substitute (April - end of year)
Prairie Hill School District is looking for an energetic teacher to join our staff as a second grade teacher during the end of the 2022-2023 school year. Qualified applicants would possess a passion for teaching elementary school students. In addition, candidates must possess a valid Illinois substitute teaching license.
Job duties include:
Implement units of instruction based on preselected 2nd grade standards.
Prepare materials for lessons, assignments, and assessments; evaluate and report student performance.
Maintain a positive classroom environment.
Collaborate with the 2nd grade team and other colleagues to deliver a quality education and learning experience.
Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

FOOD SERVICE COOK (WILLOWBROOK MIDDLE SCHOOL)
The Prairie Hill School District is looking to hire a cook/server for our Willowbrook Middle School kitchen. The hours are 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM, but may be adjusted. Compensation is $14/hour, with retirement incentives, paid sick and personal days and free lunch. No experience is necessary as training is available. Punctuality and Attendance
Preparing foods using standardized recipes and production records. Responsible for reviewing production records and securing food supplies for estimated menu quantities
Setting up food on serving line and serve meals or meal components in compliance with USDA regulations
Storing and handling food and supplies in accordance with instructions
Following prescribed housekeeping and safety procedures to ensure that sanitary and safest conditions are met with regard to health department and USDA program regulations
Following prescribed procedures to protect the anonymity of students who qualify for free and reduced meals
Maintaining positive working relationships and demonstrating respect for students, staff and parents
Participating in routine cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and supplies
Performing such other job related duties and assume such other professional responsibilities as your supervisor may from time to time assign or delegate
Unpacking and assembling food supplies in preparation for food service production
PARAPROFESSIONAL (PRAIRIE HILL ELEMENTARY)
Prairie Hill Elementary School is looking to hire a paraprofessional. Responsibilities include:
Work effectively in a team environment providing responsive instructional and behavioral support to assigned student(s) in the general education setting
Effectively communicate with teachers and administration
Assist student(s) with classroom activities under the direction of certified teacher
Assist with instructional accommodations and modifications designed by special and regular education teachers
Work with special education students in academic course curriculum as outlined by teacher(s)
Assist with the behavioral management system under the direction of the teacher including daily charting of academic and/or behavioral progress
Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Candidates do not need the paraprofessional certification to start but must be prepared to attain licensure during the school year. Compensation is $14/hour, with retirement incentives, paid sick and personal days. SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
Substitute Teachers: Prairie Hill CCSD 133 is looking for substitute teachers to serve at both Prairie Hill Elementary School and Willowbrook Middle School. Interested candidates should contact Nikki Moffitt at the district office (815-389-3964). Substitute pay is $105 a day.
SUBSTITUTE NURSES
The Prairie Hill School District #133 is currently seeking substitute nurses for the 2022-2023 school year. Applicants should meet the requirements below:
Registered nurse with current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Illinois.
Current CPR/AED Certification.
Experience in school setting preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication skills with young children, adults, staff, and administrators.
