Willowbrook Middle School is looking for an energetic teacher to join our Science team beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. Qualified applicants would possess a passion for teaching Science to middle school students grades 5th-8th. In addition, candidates must possess a valid Illinois Teaching Certificate with a Science Endorsement. Job duties may include but are not limited to:
1. Actively supporting the mission of the school and district, "Students First, Always."
2. Create and maintain a safe classroom atmosphere that builds relationships with students while providing structure and routines conducive to learning.

6. Actively collaborate with the Science content area team and the Special Education Department to design curriculum and assessments appropriate for students of all ability levels.
7. Facilitate Response to Intervention Tier 2 and 3 instruction.
8. Participate in school improvement initiatives.
9. Participate in the problem solving team process of MTSS, and implement SEL curriculum and Tier 1 and 2 Social/Emotional supports.
10. Inform parents and students of academic and behavioral progress, concerns, and long-range expectations.
11. Analyze student academic Science data to improve individual student and school-wide performance.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Punctuality and Attendance
The school nurse will provide basic medical care to students and staff
Working with physicians about procedures governing the exclusion or re-admission of students with infections or contagious disease
Participates in the IEP process- assessment, goal setting, conferences, and annual reviews (certification required)
Medication reviewed and administered
Cooperation with outside agencies
Services as liaison between the school, home, and area physicians regarding health and attendance problems
Maintains up to date and accurate student health records
Keeping health records confidential
Assisting with the control of communicable diseases
Providing health information to students, and staff
Administering first aid to students or staff in the event of an injury
Advising parents of the availability of community, state, or other health services
Encouraging parents to secure remedial care for children found to be in need of such care
Completing all injury reports
Purchasing supplies and materials as needed
Assists/Coordinate early childhood screening
Testing for hearing and vision (certification required)
Validating appropriate medical screening and paperwork for student athletes

The PE Aide is driven by our district’s mission statement of ‘Students First, Always’. Individuals should have a positive demeanor and the ability to work both independently and closely with the administration, lead teachers, and students. They will perform their responsibilities so that a safe environment is provided for all students and staff. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Work effectively in a team environment, providing responsive instructional and behavioral support to students in physical education classes
Effectively communicate with teachers and administration
Assist students with classroom activities under the direction of certified teachers
Assist with instructional accommodations and modifications designed by special and regular education teachers
Effectively facilitate PE lessons with direction from the PE teacher
Provide supervision and support during lunch and recess
Assist with the cleaning of the cafeteria during lunch periods
