Paraprofessional (Willowbrook Middle School)

Willowbrook Middle School is looking to hire a paraprofessional for next school year. Responsibilities include:

  • Work effectively in a team environment providing responsive instructional and behavioral support to assigned student(s) in the general education setting

  • Effectively communicate with teachers and administration

  • Assist student(s) with classroom activities under the direction of certified teachers

  • Assist with instructional accommodations and modifications designed by special and regular education teachers

  • Work with special education students in academic course curriculum as outlined by teacher(s)

  • Assist with the behavioral management system under the direction of the teacher including daily charting of academic and/or behavioral progress

  • Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor


Candidates do not need the paraprofessional certification to start but must be prepared to attain licensure during the school year. PART-TIME SUMMER CUSTODIAN

Prairie Hill Elementary School is looking for a dependable and capable worker to help with summer custodial and maintenance work. The starting rate is $12-$14/hour and will consist of 24-28 hours on Mondays-Thursdays. PART-TIME FOOD SERVICE

Food Service employees are driven by our district’s mission statement of ‘Students First, Always’. Individuals should have a positive demeanor and the ability to work both independently and closely with the administration, lead teachers and students. They will perform their responsibilities so that a safe environment is provided for all students and staff.

  • Candidates will prepare and serve student meals

  • Candidates should be organized, be able to collaborate with others and have strong communication skills

  • Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Hours are typically 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM, but may be adjusted. Compensation is $14/hour, with retirement incentives, paid sick and personal days and free lunch. PART-TIME BUILDING CUSTODIAN (pRAIRIE HILL ELEMENTARY)

Part-Time Building Custodians are driven by our district’s mission statement of ‘Students First, Always’. Individuals should have a positive demeanor and the ability to work both independently and closely with the administration, lead teachers and students. They will perform their responsibilities so that a safe learning environment is provided for all students. The custodians will also take pride in their work, building and district duties. Job duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Punctuality and Attendance

  • General cleaning such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash collection

  • Set up and tear down of school events

  • Stripping and waxing floors

  • Minor maintenance and/or repair tasks

  • Willing and able to accept flexibility in work schedule

  • Having the ability to demonstrate physical strength sufficient to perform heavy manual tasks

  • Having the ability to safely and effectively operate all necessary hand and power equipment

  • Cleaning and maintaining safe building exterior, interior and premises

  • Creating and following assigned cleaning schedules

  • Keeping current with best practices and requirements as they relate to their job assignment

  • Performing such other job related duties and assuming such other professional responsibilities as your supervisor may from time to time assign or delegate

substitute teachers

Substitute Teachers: Prairie Hill CCSD 133 is looking for substitute teachers to serve at both Prairie Hill Elementary School and Willowbrook Middle School. Interested candidates should contact Nicole Moffitt at the district office (815-389-3964). Substitute pay is $105 a day.

Substitute nurses

The Prairie Hill School District #133 is currently seeking substitute nurses for the 2022-2023 school year. Applicants should meet the requirements below:

  1. Registered nurse with current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Illinois.

  2. Current CPR/AED Certification.

  3. Experience in school setting preferred, but not required.

  4. Excellent communication skills with young children, adults, staff, and administrators.
