Benoit B. Mandelbrot :Born November 20, 1924 and is a French-Jewish- American. His nickname is “ Father of fractal geometry.” Mandelbrot was born in Poland , But his family moved to France when he was a child. He got his education in France, Mandelbrot is a dual French and American citizen. Mandelbrot now lives and works in United States. He is a Sterling Professor of Mathematical Sciences.

Early Years : Born in Warsaw in a Jewish family from Lituania.With a threat posed by Nazi Germany, the family fled from Poland to France in 1935. When this happened Mandelbrot was only 11, he remained trough the in France to the near end of his college studies. He was born in a family of strong academic tradition.

Gaston M. Julia he was born February 3^rd, 1893 he was a French Mathematicician who formed the the formula for the julia sets. Julia was born in the Algerian town of Sidi Bel Abbe. When he was young he had an intrest in math and music. Studies were interupted at age 20, at that time France started World War 1.

He gave attention to his mathematical work, when a 199 page article he wrote was featured in a French journal of mathematics. The article he publishised in 1918 when he was 25. a link  to pictures of fractals pictures.
