"Fractals are a graphical representation of a mathematical equation."

On this page you will find links to web-pages created by sixth and seventh grade computer students.

These pages are the culmination of a nine week study of Fractals using the Tierazon program, the Internet, a word processor (OpenOffice Write), a graphics editor (G.I.M.P.) and an HTML editor (NVU). All of these programs are available free for downloading off the Internet or I can put them on a CD or USB drive. Inquire in the computer lab.

We studied what fractals are, how they are made and what they are used for. We made fractals, we wrote about fractals and on the pages below we published our work! Our projects included math, astronomy, research, writing, art, history and page layout.

Check out the links that the students have placed at the bottom of their pages and follow the route we took in learning.

I hope you enjoy viewing these pages by our Prairie Hill scholars as much as I enjoyed watching this project grow!
