The week of May 27th

NOTE

 Please check your child's agenda daily for their homework assignments.

 Highlights

 As the weather warms please dress your child in layers.  What is comfortable in the morning may not be in the afternoon.  With the heat continually running 24/7 our room is always a warm 74 degrees even when it is 50 degrees outside and the windows are OPEN.  

 

Reading:   We will read a variety of fun stories this week. 

Math:    Students should be practicing all of the multiplication cards at home daily.  We willy have a test on Chapter 13 on Wednesday.  This test will cover division.

Spelling:  We will be doing a review lesson this last week with a test on Friday. The list of words are: their, there, they're, your, you're, which, witch, dose, does, what, when, they, why, where, wear, fourth, Illinois, favorite, many, any

 

English:  We are working on writing paragraphs with vivid details that help the reader picture what we are writing about. Also we are working on diagramming sentences using the Shurley English Method.

Social Studies/ Science:   We will have a test over our weather chapter on Thursday.  We will have a test covering Illinois on Friday. Your student will need to know the state flower, bird, symbol, motto, and other concepts.

                                          

Handwriting:     We will review how to make the letters.
