First Grade

Important Reminders:

• Please remember to send a snack (one that won't create a mess) for your child for the afternoon

• Because we do Guided Reading, it is important to check your child's agenda each night for the reading assignment

Social Studies

• We are wrapping up our study of plants.

Math

• We have completed taking Time Tests.  Be sure to continue practicing math facts at home.  They forget so quickly!  We are working on double digit addition and subtraction without regrouping.

Spelling

• We have finished our spelling book.  There will not be spelling sentence homework.

Please remember to send a snack for your child for the afternoon.  
Send a small snack that will not create a mess.

• Read anystory

Friday

• Read each day.
• Bring a sturdy bag because we will be cleaning out desks and lockers on Tuesday.

Please keep in mind that the children go out each day for recess at lunchtime weather permitting.  
Be sure your child is dressed for fun outside.
