Art Education Philosophy

To create a safe environment where all children can develop their creative thoughts through experimentation with different mediums and subject matter; and to help them develop an appreciation of other people’s visual expression and cultural arts.

Our New Art Fundraiser!
Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Swanson have been very busy scanning in more than two thousand works of art from Prairie Hill and Willowbrook schools onto the Artsonia website. Now, nearing the end of the school year, we have just about finished scanning and you can order a beautiful hard-bound book with your choices of some or all of your student's artwork printed on glossy pages along with your captions. You can even combine two or more student's artworks in the book. What a wonderful keepsake of your children's artwork or a great gift for grandparents or Mother's Day! If you wish to view a sample book, we have one in the Prairie Hill Art Room.

In order to access your student's work and place an order, you will need a security code. A copy of each student's security code was sent home last fall, but we can also provide you with that code upon request (williamsm@prairiehill.org or swansonc@prairiehill.org). After you register, you can view your student's works, leave comments, and order all sorts of merchandise printed with your choice(s) of your student(s) artwork. In addition, 15% of the purchase price of your item goes back to the Prairie Hill/Willow Brook Art Department as a fund-raiser to keep those wonderful art projects coming!
